The BYD Qin PLUS is available with both plug-in hybrid (DM-i) and pure electric (EV) powertrains:
  1. Plug-in Hybrid (DM-i):
    • Equipped with a 1.5L engine (model: BYD472QC), with a maximum output power of 74 kW (approximately 100 horsepower).
    • Features DM-i Super Hybrid technology, offering a combined range of up to 1245 km (for the 120km model), with a fuel consumption of 3.8L per 100 km, compliant with China VI emission standards.
    • The official 0-100 km/h acceleration time is 7.9 seconds for the lower and second-lowest trims.
    • Higher trims offer L2-level assisted driving, smartphone remote control, and other features.
  2. Pure Electric (EV):
    • Features a front-mounted permanent magnet/synchronous electric motor with a total power of 184 horsepower (approximately 136 kW) and a total torque of 280 Nm, matched with a fixed-gear transmission.
    • Uses a lithium iron phosphate "blade" battery, which has distinct advantages in energy density, safety, and charging rates.
    • The battery is located at the bottom of the vehicle, which helps lower the center of gravity and improve stability.
    • Offers different range versions based on battery capacity, such as the 57.6 kWh version with a CLTC range of 510 km.

The BYD Qin PLUS's powertrains reflect BYD's strength in new energy technology, providing good performance and economy whether in plug-in hybrid or pure electric versions.
